New camera D7200 is the flag ship of Nikon’s half frame cameras. (07.03.2015)

This camera has been expected and there have been rumours about it for a while. This camera is now present at our store and the first trial shootings have already taken place.

There are no significant changes in the camera body and this camera looks very similar to Nikon’s previous model D7100. All the good features of D7100 are still present in its successor's equipment. For example, the weather proof magnesium body and the lack of foggy layer in the low-pass filter that gives great sharpness to the photo files if proper optics has been used. There are bigger changes inside of the camera.

The most significant change is the new autofocus system Multi-CAM 3500DX II that is a lot more efficient when trying to achieve sharpness in low light conditions. When the D7100 autofocus works efficiently with -2EV, the new model works with -3EV.

There has been real progress with continuous shooting and buffer memory. Now it is possible to continuously shoot (up to 6 frames per second) 18 files 14Bit uncompressed or 27 files of 12Bit compressed RAW files. With JPG file format, the buffer memory fits up to 100 files!

The new photo sensor enables to use higher ISO and the new range is 100 to 102 400! There still is a little cut – high ISO (51 200 – 102 400) is meant for black and white photo mode. But ISO 8000 really produces impressive quality.

This camera is more energy saving. With EN-EL15 battery it is possible to take up to 1200 shots.

This DSLR camera has a built-in Wi-Fi! This means that when this camera is used with smart device, it is very easy to share photos and use the smart device as remote control.

For the first time, there is a NFC (near field communication) function in DSLR camera for forwarding photos. Just touch D7200 camera with NFC compatible smart device and you can forward a photo that is displayed on LCD screen! Everything is simple!

Technologically, the new model has developed a lot. This camera meets the expectations of photography enthusiasts.

You are welcome at our I AM Photographer ProShop to take a look at and purchase this camera.
