AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR (14.09.2015)

This is the new Nikkor super telephoto zoom lens that is meant for nature and sports enthusiasts. Despite of its powerful focal length, this lens is affordable for enthusiasts and although it is a constant aperture of f/5.6 and up to 500mm focal length lens, its dimensions (length 267.5; diameter 108mm) and weight (2300gr) are not that overwhelming.

Nikon  200-500mm is a FX lens that ensures the opportunity to use it in front of full frame cameras but this long focal length lens ensures a superb opportunity when put in front of half frame camera. The results were especially brilliant when this lens was put in front of  Nikon D7200. The smaller sensor gives the view angle that corresponds to  300-750mm with the aperture of  f/5.6!

When it comes to full frame, then unlike its competitors  Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 VC, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM and Sigma Sport version 150-600mm,  Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR can be used together with 1.4x teleconverter that extends the focal length. This extends the focal length in front of the full frame up to 700mm and the aperture to  f/8 with all the focal lengths. Together with the converter and half frame camera, it is possible to gain the mystical limit of 1000mm and  it is possible to get the moon into the frame with this lens.

Now, nothing is impossible! Now, we are all closer to capturing birds, wild animals and far away details into the frame from a long distance. This lens makes the distances reachable.
