Nikon Europe today introduces two Wi-Fi enabled compact cameras to its COOLPIX line up, both with highly efficient back-illuminated 16-megapixel CMOS sensors for detailed images, even in low light. The elegant yet powerful 16-megapixel COOLPIX S6800 with 12x optical zoom and up to 24x Dynamic Fine Zoom*; and the slender and stylish 16-megapixel COOLPIX S5300 with 8x optical zoom and up to 16x Dynamic Fine Zoom*.
The Nikon COOLPIX S6800 – Special moments are for sharing
The COOLPIX S6800 makes sharing your special moments simple, with built-in Wi-Fi for uploading photos directly to your smart device. The integrated Wi-Fi also lets you use your smart device as a remote control, making self-portraits simple. The slender body of this beautifully styled camera packs in a powerful 12x optical zoom and up to 24x Dynamic Fine Zoom, so you’ll always get close to the action. Share images taken on your travels with loved ones across the world, or across the street, as your photos create conversations the minute you upload them.
The COOLPIX S6800 makes shooting outstanding images effortless, even in low light, thanks to the back-illuminated 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor and you can shoot Full HD movies at the touch of a button. Easy operation means you’re ready to capture life in motion at any time and advanced Glamour Retouch makes great portraits perfect. For close-ups and group shots the camera’s NIKKOR 12x optical zoom lens means you can enjoy wide-angle coverage (25-300mm), extendable to 24x Dynamic Fine Zoom with no loss of quality.

With the COOLPIX S6800 you can capture exceptional images by tilting vertically or panning horizontally to create dynamic 360°/180° panoramas, while high speed continuous shooting means you are always ready, no matter what springs into view. Shooting seven consecutive shots at a speedy 8.4 frames per second will leave you breathless at the results, without breaking a sweat. Also included is a micro USB output that allows quick battery charging.

Sharing shots on social media is simple with the Wi-Fi built into the slender and stylish 16-megapixel COOLPIX S5300. Capture close-ups effortlessly with the wide-angle (25-200mm) 8x optical zoom and up to 16x Dynamic Fine Zoom, and view them clearly on a large 7.5-cm/3.0-in LCD screen, even in bright sunlight.
Take stunningly sharp photos night and day with the back-illuminated 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor that maximizes the light each pixel receives to guarantee clear images at any time of day, while Hybrid VR (vibration reduction) counters camera shake for enhanced stability. You can record Full HD movies at the touch of a button too, so you’re always ready to catch memorable moments, whether they suit a stunning photo or movie.
